A357 is a cast aluminum alloy consisting of 6.5 to 7.5% silicon, 0.04 to 0.07% beryllium, 0.2% iron, 0.2% copper, 0.4 to 0.7% magnesium, 0.04 to 0.2% titanium, 0.1% zinc and 0.1% manganese. This alloy is typically heat treated to improve its strength characteristics. When A357 is heat treated, it becomes one of the strongest sand-cast aluminum alloys. Therefore, it is typically used in situations where high strength combined with high corrosion resistance and/or pressure tightness are required. A357 is commonly used to make parts; including structural, machine, impellers, housings, pump and valve components, tools, frames, and brackets.
At Patriot Foundry & Castings, we specialize in metal casting services, and have extensive experience with the A357 alloy. We’re capable of handling A357 alloy casting jobs from one to thousands of pieces, and A357 castings between half an ounce and over 100 pounds. We also cast a variety of other nonferrous metals.
We are proud to be ISO 9001:2015 certified. Our DUNS number is 826918117, and our CAGE Code is 54J41.
