C862 is a manganese bronze or high strength yellow brass alloy that’s known for its strength. The C862 alloy is comprised of 60-66% copper, 22-28% zinc, 3-4.9% aluminum, 2.5-5% manganese, and 2-4% iron. C862 is commonly used to make many parts, including marine castings, cams, axles, valve parts, gears, gun mounts, bushings, and bearings.
